Income from copyright has increased in Ukraine, representative of the NGO "Platform of music publishers of Ukraine" Bohdan Hlovatsky told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

Income from copyright in Ukraine for 10 years has grown from about 6 million UAH per year to 25 million UAH per year.

According to him, the situation has improved, as the leading national TV channels have started to pay royalties to the "Collective management of copyright and related rights". However, the state-owned broadcasting companies do not stipulate funds for the payment of royalties in their budgets. "Phonogram payments, as well as copyright royalties have been blocked for 1.5-2 years," he stressed .

At the same time, according to Hlovatsky, income from the copyright market in Bulgaria, Turkey, Balkans makes up 16 million euros annually .
