The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine allocated funds for the work of the Education and Science Ministry and the Youth and Sports Ministry. As ForUm correspondent reports, 335 MPs voted for the bill.
Education minister Dmytro Tabachnyk, presenting the bill in the session hall, said that the document is of a purely technical nature. "It is aimed at implementation of the decision of the President of Ukraine, who ordered to reorganize the central bodies of executive power, separating the Education and Science Ministry and the Youth and Sports Ministry".
Tabachnyk particularly drew attention to the fact that adoption of the bill will not increase the budget expenditure for 2013.
In turn, chairman of the parliamentary committee on budget Yevhen Heller noted that during the preparation of the draft law, the Education Ministry addressed the Parliament, informing of the urgency of completion of the dorm of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, and of holding the World Summer and Winter Student Games. Accordingly, 3 million UAH and 4 million 811 thousand UAH were allocated for these purposes.
