The Verkhovna Rada allocated funds for the repeated parliamentary elections in five troubled districts, ForUm correspondent reports.

316 MPs supported the bill "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2013" (with respect to increasing expenditures of the Central Election Commission)".

"It is necessary to pay off the debts for establishment and operation of video surveillance systems, shooting and broadcast the organization and conduct of voting and counting of votes in the parliamentary elections in 2012, and to provide repeated parliamentary elections in five troubled districts on December 15, 2013 year," chairman of the Parliament’s committee on budget Yevhen Heller, who presented the bill in the session hall, explained.

The bill proposed to allocate 11 million 209 thousand hryvnia to repay debts on cameras, 20.6 million hryvnia for the elections in the troubled districts and 17 million hryvnia for the operation of the state register of voters.

The total increase in funding for the CEC will make up 48.8 million hryvnia.
