
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych stressed that Ukraine and Poland are actively working to address issues of historical reconciliation, he told reporters in Krakow on Wednesday after his meeting with Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski, the press service of the head of state reports.
"We are not hiding from finding a solution to those controversial issues that arose during the tragic events of World War II. We’re jointly seeking for the way of achieving the reconciliation. There are no two ways about it," he said.
He noted that Ukraine and Poland had been boosting trade 3-4% per annum recently, and this had been amid the crisis.
In his words, the sides discussed economic and political cooperation. "We’ve got very many join projects the development of our countries benefits from. It’s very important that people in Ukraine and Poland feel that," he added.
