Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his Polish counterpart Bronislaw Komorowski have signed a cooperation program between Ukraine and Poland for 2013-2015, the press service of the head of state reports.

The document was signed in Krakow following a meeting between the presidents. The program is aimed at the development of a strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland, Interfax-Ukraine informed.

The document outlines the priority tasks of the countries’ political dialogue and foresees the intensification of bilateral cooperation in all spheres.

The program also envisages the strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the sphere of European integration, especially during the preparations for the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, during which Ukraine is planning to sign the Association Agreement with the EU.

According to the document, in 2013-2015 Ukraine and Poland will intensify their trade and economic cooperation, investment activities, interaction in the spheres of defense and security, energy security, and cooperation between border guard services and border regions. The countries will also actively cooperate in the agriculture, culture and education spheres.

In 2011-2012, Ukraine and Poland implemented a similar cooperation roadmap.
