Signing of the Association Agreement and free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union will provide additional opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov in Minsk at a joint press conference with Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
"Signing of the Association Agreement with the EU will not put end to cooperation with Belarus, the Customs Union. On the contrary, in our opinion, there will be additional opportunities and incentives for the development of cooperation," Azarov said.
Prime Minister of Ukraine praised the talks with the top leadership of the Republic of Belarus.
He noted that in the near future the expert group will examine the problems, which may arise after signing of the Association Agreement.
"Our expert groups will examine potential problems, which may arise. The experts will focus their attention on how to solve these problems, and how to use these circumstances for all-round development of our relations," Azarov said.
