Agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk is outraged by presence of intermediaries, as well as imported products on food fairs for domestic manufacturers.

"I am not happy with the fact that mediators and imported fruit and begin to appear on fairs. These fairs should have a direct relationship between the producer and the consumer, it is our ideology," he said during a visit to the permanent agricultural fair in the Pechersk district of Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.

Prysiazhniuk explained that this problem should be solved by local authorities".

 In turn, first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Anatoly Holubchenko told journalists that the Kyiv authorities keep the issue under control. According to him, seats on such fairs are free for farmers, and these activities are aimed at reducing prices for products. "We will allow only producers having certificates. Sanitary and Epidemiological station, agricultural inspection, and police will be involved in the work," Holubchenko said.
