First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov was elected chairman of the supervisory board of the Ukraine's Future Foundation. His candidacy was unanimously supported by the supervisory board members at the meeting on October 3, held on the eve of the second international expert session "How to make intellectual potential the resource for the development of Ukraine?"
Arbuzov noted that the development of intellectual potential is one of the most important tasks of socio-economic development of our country. "The work of the Ukraine's Future Foundation is aimed at finding ways to address it," he added.
First Deputy Prime Minister also expressed his willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and emphasized the need for joint efforts of all the participants of this strategic project for Ukraine. "I am convinced that the result of our work will be the breakthrough innovation in all spheres of public life, which will contribute to strengthening the global competitiveness of Ukraine," Arbuzov said.
The Fund's supervisory board membership also includes executive director and chairman of the board of the SigmaBleyzer Michael Bleyzer, vice president of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, director of the Institute of Economics and Forecasting of NAS of Ukraine Valery Heyets, director general of the State Enterprise "National Cultural- Art and Museum Complex "Art Arsenal" Natalia Zabolotna, director of the Educore BV Hank Kune, Rigas Laikes intellectual journal publisher Arnis Ritups, chairman of the Ukrainian international committee on science and culture of the NAS of Ukraine, director of the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yaroslav Yatskiv.
The supervisory board members discussed a number of organizational issues, in particular, approved documents relating to the national grant competition "The intellectual capital of Ukraine", the competition committee and its composition.
As a reminder, the Ukraine's Future Foundation was set up to support and implement scientific and research projects in fields of intellectual policy, research and projects for the future, futurology, youth policy, urban development and settlement systems of innovative education, development of communication and information technologies.
