In September 2013, wage arrears in Ukraine decreased by 5.4%, social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In September, wage arrears decreased by 53.300 thousand UAH, or 5.4%," she specified.
According to the minister, the number of enterprises having wages arrears decreased by 30%. "We totally eliminated arrears of salaries at 514 companies, or 30%," Korolevska stressed.
In addition, according to the minister, the debt of previous years was repaid by 242 million UAH.
"An important issue is the new debt, which arose in 2013. This is the debt of the AeroSvit company. A separate commission and law enforcement agencies work to solve this problem," she concluded.
