Adaptation of Ukrainian technical regulations to the EU requirements will cost Ukraine 165 billion euros for 10 years, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with a delegation of the European Parliament political group "Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe" on Thursday, the Cabinet’s press service reports.
"The Association Agreement is comprehensive and sophisticated enough for Ukraine. For example, the adaptation of the Ukrainian technical regulations for 10 years would require about 165 billion euros. This is a huge work. We will need to reconfigure our entire economy to the new standards," Azarov said.
In turn, MEPs noted that the Vilnius summit is a unique opportunity for the Ukraine’s integration into the EU. "Vilnius summit is a unique opportunity for all of us," MEP Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck said.
