The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) may revise the terms of supply of Ukrainian animal products to the Russian market due to Ukraine's plans to sign the Association Agreement with the EU.

"We will have to almost completely renegotiate access of Ukrainian animal products to the Russian market due to the forthcoming signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement," chairman of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert said.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor chairman, after the Agreement with the EU is signed, the conditions of access of European products to the Ukrainian market will change, and that will force to review the conditions of import of Ukrainian products to the Russian Federation.

According Dankvert, after the Association signing, illegal providers will have greater interest in expanding their "business".

Sergey Dankvert added that soon the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance will send a letter to the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine with the request to hold urgent telephone talks to discuss the situation and analyze the implications of changes in the conditions of supply of Ukrainian products to the Russian market.
