About 500 opposition supporters are protesting near the Kyiv City Council against holding of the city council session, ForUm correspondent reports.
The building is surrounded by three rows of the Berkut Special Forces officers.
Local clashes happen between the protesters and law enforcement officers ever and again. Police used tear gas during one of such fights.
In addition, the protesters have thrown a few smoke bombs.
It should be noted that about 10 law enforcement officers have been injured as a result of clashes with demonstrators.
In turn, the Berkut Special Forces officers detained several activists.
