The European Union is ready to allocate 45 million EUR to the government of Ukraine for social projects, head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinsky stated.
"The government will use these funds for projects that will be organized by public bodies in the interests of economic entities. The funds will be allocated till the end of this year with the possibility of funding renewal in 2014," Tombinsky said.
He noted that the EU is considering a new policy framework of financial cooperation with Ukraine, which will start operating in 2014.
However, Tombinsky did not specify the details of possible cooperation in the financial sector.
