Ukraine does not face any default, director general of the National Bank monetary policy department Olena Scherbakova said during "direct line" held by "Komsomolska Pravda in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.

She underlined that Ukraine has been paying and will keep paying its debts. "We fulfill our obligations. At the beginning of 2013 we already new the sum we had to pay to the IMF. Four billion dollars have already been paid, and USD 1.6 billion are coming... We always pay, even in difficult crisis years we settle accounts as a state and try to inculcate in banks and credit users on the market the same culture of payment," the official said. 

Scherbakova also noted that the results of nine months of the current year demonstrate pay balance surplus, and NBU keeps working on improvement of Ukraine's ratings. 

As a reminder, PM Mykola Azarov slammed the statements of Russian experts on coming default in Ukraine and assured the hryvnia rate was stable.
