Deposits opened via Internet are subject to the deposit guarantee system, deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Vira Rychakovska said during "direct line" held by "Komsomolska Pravda in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.
"There are general rules. The form of agreement does not affect the guarantee system," she said.
Rychakovska reminded that Ukraine issues electronic keys that act as a signature, and a deposit agreement concluded in the electronic form has the same legal effect as an agreement signed directly with a financial institution.
