NATO will continue providing assistance to Ukraine in implementing plans for the reform and development of the Armed Forces. The relevant decision was taken at a regular meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Joint Working Group on military reform, which took place on September 26 at the NATO headquarters in Brussels, the Defense Ministry press service informs.

The event was held under the chairmanship of NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy James Appathurai. 

Ukrainian delegation, which included representatives of the Defense Ministry and the Social Policy Ministry, was chaired by the deputy chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Admiral Ihor Kabanenko.

The meeting addressed the issues of implementation of NATO standards in the field of defense of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the state of retraining and resettlement of military personnel, who was dismissed from the Armed Forces and other military structures.
