First deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov has left for China on a working visit, according to the government's press office on Monday.

"From September 24 to September 27, the government delegation headed by first deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov will pay a working visit to the People's Republic of China," a statement reads.

On September 24, Arbuzov will take part in the second meeting of the Commission for Co-operation between the governments of Ukraine and China. The first deputy Prime Minister will discuss with the commission co-chairman, Chinese Vice Premier of the State Council Ma Kai topical issues of trade and economic and political relations before the scheduled for December this year - as part of a future visit to China of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych - signing of a Strategic Development Partnership Program between the two countries.

On September 26, the Ukrainian delegation headed by Arbuzov for the first time will attend the Euro Asia Economic Forum 2013 in Xi'an. During the event, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers will discuss Ukraine's role in ensuring food security, environmental and energy security in a world of global challenges.

The first deputy Prime Minister will also meet with leaders of major Chinese corporations and banks. In particular, they will focus on cooperation with the leadership of the China Development Bank and China Export-Import Bank.
