As of September 1, 2013, there were no arrears of salaries and pensions to state employees, deputy finance minister of Ukraine Anatoly Myarkovsky said during the Hour of questions to the government, ForUm correspondent reports.

The official said that over 8 months in 2013, the Pension Fund received 55.5 billion UAH from the state budget, and the costs to cover the PF deficit grew by 33.1%. "This is a record," the official said.

He added that social standards rising reached this year has made it possible to revive domestic consumption. "The average salary of a staff member in Ukraine for 7 months increased by 8.9% to 3.215 UAH," the deputy minister said. 

According to him, the growth of the minimum wage and taking into account the expected level of inflation and productivity is provided for 2014. "As before, the salary increase will be gradual. Cost of living will increase along with this," Myarkovsky assured.
