The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed in the first reading and as a basis the bill on the print media reforming.
As ForUm correspondent reports, 333 MPs voted for the document.
This bill belongs to the European integration bills package.
The draft law authored by representatives of the four factions (except for the Communist Party) is aimed at reforming the print media, set up by the executive bodies and local authorities, with a view of the freedom of expression in the media.
The document establishes a common goal of a reformed state and communal media as covering objective information in the interest of the citizens of Ukraine.
