September 18, the third meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese sub-commission on cooperation in agriculture was held in Beijing. Agricultural policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk discussed with Chinese colleagues the possibility of expanding range of agricultural products to be exported to China.

So, by the end of the year there is to be signed protocol of phytosanitary requirements, allowing launch supplies of Ukrainian barley and soybeans to China this year and of wheat and rapeseed starting from the next year.

China could become one of the largest importers of Ukrainian grain. So, we already have a successful experience in the supply of corn. And now we are very keen to begin exporting barley and soybeans. In the future, we want to expand the range of exported wheat, canola, and the meal," Prysiazhniuk said.
