Schools and hospitals will be ready for the heating season by October 1, head of municipal power system department of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Olena Malezhyk announced today, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to her, this year there has been substantially strengthened control over the preparation for the new heating season. Back in April, the Regional Development Ministry created a comprehensive preparations plan of housing and communal services and social facilities.
"This year, for the first time, certificates of readiness of objects are signed not only by local authorities, but also by public relevant inspections. This is another important additional element of control," she said.
According to Malezhyk, preparations in kindergartens and schools for the heating season are already completed in the regions. In general, 19.5 thousand schools and 14 thousand kindergartens were prepared.
