The Party of Regions faction will support the adoption of the draft Law “On Public Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine”, which is included in the European integration bills package, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Party of Regions faction would support the bill on public television. Hopefully, we will accept this document today," Yefremov said.
Commenting on the amendment to the bill, which states that the supervisory board of public television shall consist of not a member of the government, but representatives of the factions, he said: "If we start to mix the adoption of legislation required by Europe and the distribution of portfolios, we are unlikely that advance in the right direction. As for the distribution of portfolios - it's not our business. We are more interested in the legal framework. We will support legislation, and only then to share portfolios".
