Today, the Cabinet will consider the draft amendments to the Ukrainian legislation to adapt it to the European norms, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent, reports.

"To implement the provisions of the Law "On Administrative Services", we make changes to 24 laws regulating the provision of such services with a number of ministries and departments. Legislative changes aimed at improving corporate governance in joint stock companies, are developed in the framework of adapting national legislation to the EU legislation," Azarov said.

Another decision to be made today, according to PM, will be aimed at bringing national legislation into line with European standards and guidelines of the World Health Organization. "I'm talking about the changes to the Law of Ukraine "On Medicines", which are stricter requirements to the documents submitted for the state registration of the so-called generics. Let me remind you that as of today they make up 70% of the registered medicines. Our tough position is that they must have a proof of therapeutic efficacy and bioequivalence," Azarov said.

In addition, according to him, the Cabinet is to pass the changes to legislation prohibiting the change of purpose of land nature reserves, botanical gardens, arboretums, and zoological parks of national importance and conservation areas of biosphere reserves and national parks.
