In August of 2013, the unemployment rate in Ukraine remained at the same level as last month - 1.6% of the total number of working age population, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reports.
In absolute figures, the number of unemployed people in August amounted to 435.4 thousand people against 451.5 thousand in July.
The number of unemployed receiving benefits in August amounted to 339.4 thousand people against 353.5 thousand in July. In this case, the average benefit in August amounted to 1136 thousand UAH, which is more by three UAH than in July.
