Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski says he sees goods prospects for the signing of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union during the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius in November 2013, he said at the annual Ukrainian National Platform conference in Kyiv on Monday.

"Today we have 10 weeks left to the Vilnius summit, and I can say that today I am more optimistic about the prospects for this summit," he stated, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

Tombinski noted that this process includes two components – the government’s work on the fulfilment of the tasks outlined by the European side earlier and the political issues mentioned in the December conclusions of the Committee of Ministers.

According to the diplomat, the sides are working on these two components today. In this context, Tombinski expressed hope that the Ukrainian Parliament will pass the laws necessary for Ukraine’s European integration course during the session this fall.
