In Ukraine it is necessary to set up a structure in which the people will be trained to provide first aid, deputy health minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Tolstanov told a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.
"International experience shows that appropriate training of provision of first aid increased number of the saved lives. We need to establish a clear system of preparing the population for the provision of pre-hospital care. It is necessary to create a structure that would not only deliver information, but also could guarantee the quality of relevant training," the official said.
According to Tolstanov, this problem is very urgent for Ukraine, given the fact that our country ranks the fifth in Europe in terms of deaths from road accidents.
