EEC ready to cooperate with Ukraine even after signing AA
The Eurasian Economic Commission, the supranational body of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, states it is ready to cooperate with Ukraine, although the signing of the association agreement with the EU would complicate economic relations with the three countries.

This was stated by director of the integration department of the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Spassky at the Kyiv-Moscow video conference.

According to him, Ukraine now has the opportunity to cooperate with the Customs Union even after the signing of the agreement with the EU.

Spassky reminded that three memoranda were signed within the framework of cooperation between Ukraine and the EEC. The first concerns cooperation in trade, the second concerns the technical regulation, as it is necessary to comply with 61 technical regulations to preserve the CU member states market. The third document concerns observer status in the EEC.

He believes that the issue of removing barriers to mutual trade, as well as prevention of "trade wars" could be discussed within these documents.

He said that the representative of Ukraine in the Eurasian Economic Commission Viktor Suslov is invited to all meetings of the board at the level of vice prime ministers and he has the opportunity to obtain all the necessary information in advance.
