Enterprises of district heating providers owed "Naftogaz" 17 billion UAH, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Debts of district heating providers constitute about 17 billion UAH for gas. This issue was discussed at the government’s meeting and the decisions were made we have to perform. The basic solution in the coming heating season as for gas supply limits to heating utilities is certification of facilities. There are about 2 thousand, to which gas is supplied," Stavytsky said.
Thus, according to the minister, the question of the gas supply to the debtor companies will be removed. "The government has developed a program to get out of this situation," he added.
