Ukrainian industrial products can not be competitive because of the high cost of Russian gas, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said, opening the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The competitiveness of domestic goods is a hostage of the unfair gas contract with Russia. By the way, the chemical industry brightly demonstrates this, where the cost of raw materials and energy makes up nine-tenths of the cost. At the same time, the Russian partners have promised us to review the unfair gas prices. Unfortunately, it is still only a promise," Azarov said.
According to him, the Russian gas for Ukraine costs much more expensively than for other European countries.
