The World Trade Organization has worsened forecast of the world trade growth in 2013 to 2.5%, new general secretary of the organization Roberto Azevedo told a press conference, Reuters reports.

According to him, the WTO expects that in 2014, the growth of world trade will amount to 4.4% compared to the previously forecasted 5%.

Azevedo noted that it happened due to the fact that "the European economy had no time to recover in the second quarter of this year".
