
In Ukraine, the employment among women is by 10% less than among men, head of the State Employment Service of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna said during the roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Unfortunately, the situation is getting worse. If in the first quarter of 2013, the number of employed men increased by 150 thousand people, the number of women decreased by 106 thousand people," she said.
According to her, the overall level of working women in Ukraine amounts to 30%.
Lazebna also noted that the State Employment Service together with the Social Policy Ministry developed a number of initiatives to improve the situation with employment.
She stressed that in particular, it is a free education and training for women during parental leave.
