Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinsky is sure that the signing of the Association Agreement will not result in commercial crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

"I am deeply convinced that there will be no crisis between Russia and Ukraine, as the trade conflict is not in the interests of the Russian Federation," he said at the launch of the EU-Ukraine project "Stronger together" in Kyiv on Tuesday.

According to him, Russia has very good relations with the rich and not only European countries, and if a negative decision is taken in respect of a particular country, it affects the relations with the third countries.

"Therefore, I am convinced that there will be no commercial crisis. Association Agreement and the implementation of this document will open for Ukrainian businesses and economy prospects of entering the European market," the ambassador said.

He added that it would be beneficial for Russia as Ukraine's economic development will have an impact on neighboring countries, in particular, in terms of growth of trade, job creation and other aspects.
