The Russian Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) has sent the official letter to agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk with the proposal to conduct documentary checks and inspections of Ukrainian confectionary factories of the Roshen corporation. This is stated in a report posted on the Rospotrebnadzor website.

"Agrarian policy and food minister Prysiazhniuk was sent a letter with a proposal to conduct appropriate activities, including documentary checks and inspections of the factories of the Roshen corporation in Ukraine, with a list of required documentation for the documentary check," the report says.

The Rospotrebnadzor confirmed receipt of materials from the Ukrainian party on the accreditation of two laboratories for compliance with Russia requirments in the field of consumer protection.

"We are currently studying these materials in order to determine the competence of these laboratories to conduct research on the compliance of confectionery with the Russian legislation in the field of quality and safety of food products," the report reads.
