Russia has officially informed the Ukrainian party that since 2014 Russia no longer plans to use the landfill "NITKA" for training of pilots in the interests of aviation of the Russian Federation Navy, senior source in the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation informs.

"The Ukrainian party has been informed that the "NITKA" ground landing systems in Crimea is not planned to be used for pilot training of the Russian Navy aviation pilots starting from 2014 and later," the source said.

According to him, the Ukrainian partners in response have declared their readiness to terminate the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental agreement of 1997, which regulates the use of the "NITKA" landfill.
