A lot of Ukrainian companies actively work in foreign markets or plan to enter such, so a dialogue with international trade associations is important for them, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara said at the forum ICC Ukraine “Modern Trends of World Business Organization", ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the diplomat, it is of particular importance under intense preparation for the November signing of the association agreement with the EU, including in-depth and comprehensive free trade area. "This FTA creates a fundamentally new model of relations with the EU - one of the world's largest economic associations. This means the transition from a partnership to a close cooperation," the minister said.

Kozhara expressed his deep conviction that the establishment of the FTA is beneficial for Ukraine, for Europe and the third countries.

"This format will give national businesses the opportunity to immediately work on increasing the presence in large-scale European markets. However, the FTA brings also challenges for our businesses related to compliance with European standards and norms, modern corporate culture and business ethics. It is obvious that within a free trade area with the EU, domestic companies will need additional advice for maximum efficiency. I expect that the structures such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) will be actively involved in the provision of such assistance as well as in modernizing the standards and traditions of Ukrainian business," the official said.
