The first week of work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine after the summer break has proved possibility of reaching a consensus among the various political forces for the adoption of legislation in the field of European integration. This is stated in the statement of the European Union Ambassador Jan Tombinsky on the results of vote in the Parliament this week, the EU Delegation in Ukraine informs.

"However, the same mobilization is required in the coming weeks to complete the remaining work," he said.

According to him, the Party of Regions, Batkivshchyna, UDAR and Svoboda have shown determination to take the necessary laws and reform that "makes Ukraine's desire to sign the Association Agreement with the EU is more plausible".

"More than 350 votes in favor of the necessary laws are the best answer to those who question the political will of Ukraine to demonstrate tangible progress in reforms. So, a very important step in the direction of the signing of the Association Agreement in Vilnius in late November, was made," Tombinsky summed up.
