Today, Ukraine is going through a difficult period in terms of the economy, but it should not affect the life of people, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with the candidates for the post of chairmen of regional state administrations, ForUm learned from the press service of the President.
"Ukraine, as the whole world, has the economic crisis ... Our main task in this situation is to do everything that the people's lives do not become worse," Yanukovych said.
"Budget-2014 should not be worse but better than the budget-2013," he said.
He reminded that since 2010 Ukraine has consistently increased social standards, especially pensions, wages.
