Checks have not confirmed suspicions about the re-export of the Roshen confectionary to the Russian market from third countries, head of Rospotrebnadzor Gennady Onishchenko told a news conference in Moscow.

"Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk were instructed to carry out checks. So far, those checks have not showed deliveries despite the ban," he said.

In his opinion, such deliveries can be arranged from Kazakhstan to Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk, wherefrom the goods are going to Siberia and the Trans-Urals.

Onishchenko reminded that when it was decided to ban the import of chocolates in Russia, there was no ban on their turnover in order to sell products already supplied to the market, as there were no large stocks. In addition, there is no ban on sale of confectionary produced by the Roshen Lipetsk plant and factories of the company
