In spite of the European integration process, Ukraine will develop partnerships with Russia and other CIS countries, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev stated during a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Payette, ForUm learned from the press service of the National Security Council.

The parties discussed the process of European integration of Ukraine. Klyuyev noted that Ukraine intends to sign an Association Agreement with the EU at the Vilnius summit of "Eastern Partnership". At the same time, he stressed that the Ukrainian party will make every effort to develop partnerships with Russia and other CIS countries.

The participants of the meeting discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the United States

In addition, Klyuyev and Payette discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of security, including in the field of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, as well as the situation in the Middle East.
