Ukraine’s European integration not to affect relations with Syria, ambassador believes

The European integration aspirations of Ukraine will not affect its relations with Syria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic in Ukraine Mohamed Said Akil told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The intention of Ukraine to join the EU will not affect the relations between Ukraine and Syria. In my opinion, nothing will change. Our two countries have good strong relationship established since the time of the Soviet Union and continues to this day," he said.

"I think that the policy will not change, and the way supported by the government will be continued," the ambassador said.
