There is no split in the Party of Regions because of contradictions regarding the European integration, MP of the Party of Regions faction Volodymyr Oliynyk said on the sidelines of Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
"I see no reason to talk today about the split in the faction. All participants of the heated debate that have personal opinions about Ukraine’s rapprochement with the EU or CU do not talk about leaving the faction or voting against the main issues. Of course, there are issues that have caused heated debate. For example, it was decided regarding the free vote on the bill on preventing and combating discrimination in Ukraine," the deputy said.
Speaking about the planned meeting between President Viktor Yanukovych and deputies of the Party of Regions faction today, Oliynyk said: "I know the style of the President, he will not persuade anyone. He will express his point of view."
