There are Ukrainians among the terrorists, who are fighting for the rebels in Syria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic in Ukraine Mohamed Said Akil told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"We have heard that there are terrorists from 83 world countries, including Ukraine," he informed.
However, the ambassador did not specify their exact number, citing the fact that the terrorists themselves burn bodies of the militants that they could not be identified.
"Therefore, it is impossible to say how many terrorists are fighting. You can determine this only when they are taken prisoners," the diplomat concluded.
