Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don Vitaliy Moskalenko offers Russia to consider taking on bail Ukrainian fisherman Oleksandr Fedorovych, against whom a criminal case in connection with the incident in the Sea of Azov was initiated.

This was stated on August 30 during a meeting of Moskalenko with the deputy prosecutor of the Azov-Black Sea interdistrict environmental prosecutor's office (Novorossiysk, Russia), which processes the case, the Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reports.

"The same day, the corresponding note was sent to the official representatives of the Russian party," the press service informs.

The Foreign Ministry also noted that a regular telephone contact is maintained with Fedorovych, including on issues of health and daily living needs while staying in the territory of Russia, as well as on formation of the line of defense during the investigation of the initiated criminal proceedings against him.

"September 2, Consul General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don will personally visit Fedorovych in Eysk, to consult with the attorney, meet with the leaders of the region and local law enforcement agencies," the statement reads.
