Ukraine is discussing the possibility of raising an interest-free loan from the Russian Federation to finance the additional gas injection into underground storage facilities, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky said in interview.

According to him, the issue at whose expense additional gas injection will be done, is now discussed.
When asked whether raising a loan is likely, he said: "Interest-free loan is possible, that is if we take the responsibility that we will consume gas in other periods".

When asked whether it is true that the amount of two billion dollars needed to inject about five billion cubic meters of gas is discussed, Stavytsky replied: "If to multiply five by four hundred (dollars - Ed.), it turns around two billion dollars . This is a mathematical calculation. I cannot say right now how it will be in the end".
