The European Parliament will adopt a resolution on the inadmissibility of actions by Russia against Ukraine, which are aimed at disrupting the signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. In particular, it will refer to unleashing of the trade war by Russia, the purpose of which is the failure of European integration of Ukraine, MEP from Poland Krzysztof Lisek said in exclusive comments to BTB TV channel.

"The European Parliament will take action. A plenary session will be held in two weeks in Strasbourg. We discussed at the meeting of the Committee on International Relations the need for the adoption of the European Parliament’s resolution. It should be noted there that Russia's actions against Ukraine are unacceptable," Lisek said.

MEP noted that the preparation of the document will take about a week, and it could be adopted in two weeks at the next plenary session. At the same time Lisek said that Russia is an important trading partner for many countries in the EU, so the signing of the association agreement with Kyiv is not directed against the interests of Moscow.

"We can not agree with the actions of the Russian Federation against Ukrainian goods and trade with Ukraine. This is contrary to the rules of the World Trade Organization and is against our agreements with the Russian Federation. Of course, the European Union considers Russia as an important country and an important trading partner for many countries in the EU. And frankly, we can not agree with such a situation when the Russian Federation is trying to suspend negotiations on the European integration of the countries of the "Eastern Partnership". Of course , the case with Ukraine is too obvious and extreme . But we also see that Russia has taken similar action against Moldova, Armenia, Georgia , trying to undermine the Eastern Partnership," the MEP said.
