The trial of Ukrainian athlete and world champion in swimming Oleg Lisogor will be held on August 28, director of information policy department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"According to our information, the court should have been held yesterday, but it was postponed till today for technical reasons," he said.
He noted that a representative of Ukraine had a conversation with Lisogor in Liberia, and the fact of initiating "a case on suspicion of detention of a citizen of Ukraine in Monrovia" was confirmed.
