The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne has upheld UEFA’s decision to disqualify FC Metalist Kharkiv from European competitions, the club’s vice president, Kostiantyn Pyvovarov, has said, Interfax reports.

“The CAS turned us down. Metalist is not playing in European competitions in 2013/14,” Pyvovarov wrote on his page on Facebook.

He also posted the CAS ruling, in which the court ordered Metalist to pay 1,000 Swiss francs of litigation costs and pay UEFA and the Greek club PAOK 5,000 Swiss francs, each.
