32nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships has started in the Ukrainian capital, Championships runs until September 1.
The geography of participants spans the globe: the competition will gather some 300 athletes from 59 countries. The leaders of the current season will participate- Anna Rizatdinova and Alina Maksymenko (Ukraine), Margarita Mamun, Yana Kudryavtseva (Russia), Melitina Stanyuta and Ekaterina Galkina (Belarus), Silvia Miteva (Bulgaria), Neta Rivkina (Israel).
Viewers expect an exciting fight for the medals, and a real celebration of beauty and grace. Grand gala concerts featuring well-known stars will be held in during the opening and closing of the championship. In addition, everyone will be able to monitor the progress of the competition not only in the stands of the Palace of Sports, but also in the fan zone in the Khreshchatyk Street.
Note, that the history of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships began in 1963 in Budapest. Ukraine hosts the championship for the first time.
