Signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement depends on the determination of both Ukrainian and EU elites.
This opinion was expressed by MEP from Poland Paweł Kowal in an article for Radio "Liberty" and the Dziennik Polski Polish edition.
According to him, Ukraine today is especially in need of a clear statement from Brussels.
"If you take into account the fact that Russia is a key partner for the EU, its attempts to bury its head in the sand in response to an open blackmail with trade war is the infantile position," the politician said.
In his view, the key challenge is to "survive" the time before the summit of "Eastern Partnership" of the EU in Vilnius in November, and when the signature becomes an accomplished fact, then Russia "agrees with evidence and begins just cooperate".
