Further negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on integration of Kyiv into the EU and the CU are meaningless. A discussion has been held at a high level, the parties will continue to monitor the situation, first vice Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov told reporters after the talks between prime ministers of Russia and Ukraine.
"We have agreed that, in any case, the customs authorities and the ministries responsible for the situation have to monitor the situation," Shuvalov said.
"I believe pointless to continue holding negotiations on this issue, as the highest level of experts and the independent non-governmental experts from both parties have been already invited," the first deputy prime minister said.
